Our mission is to harness the beauty, skill, and meaning behind handcrafted items to fuel something greater: compassion in action. Handmade for Change is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization empowering vulnerable individuals, underemployed and immigrant communities through skills training, entrepreneurship, and market access. We teach sewing, candle-making, jewelry design, and other handcrafts—combined with essential business skills such as social media marketing, trend awareness, customer service and online business operations—to help participants generate sustainable income. Every product our trainees create is more than handmade; it’s a step toward economic independence, community growth, and self-sufficiency. By turning craft into opportunity, we uplift communities and give individuals the tools to transform their lives.
